# RestockOwl

> RestockOwl tracks the availability of Apple products in 21 countries and regions: Apple's official refurbished listings with their saving against the new price, a 90-day restock history for every configuration, a price comparison across countries, and Apple Store pickup stock. It also sends email alerts when a configuration comes back in stock.

RestockOwl is an independent service run by Marfik Inc., is not affiliated with Apple Inc. and sells nothing. All data is collected from the public pages of Apple's own online stores. It can be late or wrong, and Apple's site is the authority.

## Key facts for reading the figures

- Refurbished listings are checked every 10 minutes in 7 countries (United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, Singapore) and every hour in the others. Configurations that users are watching are checked more often.
- Apple Store pickup stock is checked by model and country, usually every 1 to 3 hours.
- A restock is a configuration being seen in stock after it was out of stock or not listed, or being seen for the first time. Several colors appearing in the same check count as one restock.
- Restock history covers the last 90 days. Its times are in UTC and each is labeled with its precision (to the minute, to the check interval, or unknown). When a listing was already in stock the first time it was seen, its start time means "no later than".
- A saving is the country's own new price minus the refurbished price, in the same currency. With several refurbished listings, the lowest-priced one that is in stock and recently confirmed is used.
- Prices are before sales tax in the United States and Canada and include tax everywhere else. The global ranking does not adjust for tax and prints the provider and date of its exchange rates.
